Tip 1: Telč
Telč ist eine kleine Stadt in Südmähren in der Nähe von Jihlava.
Die erste schriftliche Erwähnung der Stadt stammt vom 1315
In der 2. Hälfte des 14. Jh bauten die Freiherren von Hradec
eine gotische Burg mit VerteidigungsFunktionen in Telč. Baron
Zachariáš von Hradec initiierte im Jahr 1550 den Umbau und die
Erweiterung der Burg in einen Renaissance-Palast. Ausser
Schlosses finden Sie hier ein langer städtischer Markplatz mit
gut erhaltenen Renaissance-Häusern. Dieser komplett intakte
mittelalterliche Markplatz wurde im Jahre 1992 in die Liste von
UNESCO WeltKulturerbe eingeschrieben

Tip 2: Třebíč
Třebíč liegt in Südmähren auf dem Fluss Jihlava und ist 65 km
westlich von Brünn entfernt . St. Prokop-Basilika entstand hier
als Teil des Benediktinerklosters zu Beginn des 13.Jahrhunderts.
Alt jüdisches Viertel von Třebíč ist ein Zeugnis der kulturellen
Traditionen der Juden in ZentralEuropa. St. Prokop-Basilika und
das jüdische Viertel als Beispiel des Zusammenlebens der
jüdischen und christlichen Kulturen von dem Mittelalter bis heute
wurde im Jahre 2003 auf die UNESCO-Liste der Weltkulturerbe
eingetragen .

Tip 3: Olmütz (Olomouc) - Dreifaltigkeitssäule
Olmütz ist eine Stadt mit 110.000 Einwohnern in Mähren auf
dem Fluss Mähren. Es wurde im 10. Jahrhundert gegründet,
erste schriftliche Erwähnung stammt von 1017. Erste Siedlungs-
spuren sind 40.000 Jahre alt. Das bekannteste Denkmal in
Olomouc ist die Dreifaltigkeitssäule auf dem Oberen Platz, die im
Jahre 1754 abgeschlossen und in Gegenwart der Kaiserin
Maria Theresia und ihres Gatten Franz I geweiht wurde. Dieses
bewundernswerte Denkmal wurde im Jahre 2000 auf die
UNESCO-Liste der Weltkulturerbe eingetragen.
Andere Sehenswürdigkeiten: St. Wenzelsdom mit dem höchsten
Turm der Tschechischen Republik (100,6 m), Svatý Kopeček
Hügel, Rathaus, barocke Brunnen, St. MichaelsKirche,
gotische St. Mauritzkirche.

Tip 4: Kroměříž
Kroměříž - a beautiful historic town, founded in 1260, today with
almost 30,000 inhabitants is located on the Moravia River in the
Zlín region (Moravia). The Baroque Kroměříž Bishop´s Chateau
is the main landmark of the town. The Pleasure Garden and
Chateau at Kroměříž has been inscribed on
the UNESCO World
Heritage List in 1998.

Max Schvabinský paintings, Parish Church of the Blessed Virgin

Brno with 380,000 inhabitants is the 2nd largest city in the
Czech Republic. Brno region is settled since the 5th century,
Brno town was founded in 1146 and acknowledged as town in
1243 by Václav I.
St. Peter and Paul's Cathedral and Špilberk
Castle are the main landmarks of the city. Villa Tugendhat as an
example of modern functionalistic architecture
has been
inscribed on
the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2002.

Tip 6: Valtice - Valtice Castle.
Valtice is a town in South Moravia with a known landmark
Valtice Castle built in Baroque style. It was designed as the seat
of the ruling dukes of Lichtenstein in the 18th century. The
Lichtenstein family transformed in the 18th and 19th century
the area round Valtice into some large landscape parks with
beautiful English gardens, Romantic follies, ponds & water
reservoirs, colonnade with Corinthial pillars, Temple of Diana
(Rendezvous), Roman victorious Arc and other Neoclassical
structures and pavilions. As en example of human creativity
inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1996.

Tip 7: Lednice Chateau
Lednice is a village in South Moravia with a known landmark
Lednice Chateau. Originally it was a Gothic fortress, then a
Renaissance villa and later in the 17th century it became a
summer residence of the ruling dukes of Lichtenstein. The
Lichtenstein family rebuilt last the castle in neo-Gothic style
1846 -1858 and transformed in the 18th and 19th century the
area round Lednice into some large landscape parks with
beautiful English gardens, Romantic follies, ponds & water
reservoirs, pavilions, artificial ruins of medieval castle and
minaret. As an example of human creativity inscribed on the
UNESCO World Heritage List in 1996.

Tip 8: Ždár nad Sázavou - St. John of Nepomuk Church
Ždár nad Sázavou is located at the frontier of Bohemia and
Moravia in the picturesque region of Bohemian-Moravian
Highland. Ždár as a small town was first time mentioned in a
charter from 1293. Ždár gained town rights in 1607.
The pilgrimage church of John of Nepomuk on Green Hill
(built 1719 - 1722) was inscribed on the UNESCO World
Heritage List in 1993.

Mikulov - one of the wine centres in Moravia - is a town in South Moravia on the border with Austria. The UNESCO Biosphere
reserve Pálava Landscape Protected Area begins at Mikulov
town. There are many vineyards, grapes and wine cellars
in the surroundings of the town today.

Tip 10: Litomyšl town
Litomyšl is a charm town in East Bohemia near the border with
Moravia (Pardubice Region). It is located on the site of an older
fortifield settlement on the Trstenice path - an important trading
route - linking Bohemia and Moravia in the Middle Age. Litomyšl
is the birthplace of Bedřich Smetana - known Czech composer
(1824 - 1884).
